FAZL ALI COLLEGE, CHUCHUYIMPANG: MOKOKCHUNG

  1. Located about 5 kms away from the heart of Mokokchung town takes pride in being the oldest and one of the finest colleges in Nagaland.
  2. It has been re-accredited with Grade “A” by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2022.
  3. The college true to its motto Academia Nulli Secundus (Second to None in Academia) has not only produced a long line of illustrious alumni but has also been a pioneering hub of many firsts.
  4. Fazl Ali College’s collaboration as an academic institution with the District Planning Development Board (DPDB), Mokokchung in hosting the “Mega Job Expo 2024: Connecting Careers” will be a first of its kind in the district and a step closer to achieving the college’s mission of nation building by strengthening community extension services and collaborations.
Concept of the Event
  1. Nagaland constitutes 58.5% of the total working age population.
  2. Growth and Skill Development Plan: 2022-2027 reveals that Mokokchung, Nagaland has 109,260 workers, i.e., 47% of the working population.
  3. Unemployment is a huge problem among the youths.
  4. Hence, the District Planning and Development Board, Mokokchung has envisioned a Mega Job Expo with the objective of tapping into the heavily under-utilised youth workforce by bridging the gap between potential employers and the unemployed youth population.

The event provides a platform for connecting careers by pre-screening all the applicants to suit the prerequisites of the employers/recruiters.
